Israel has destroyed more than 1,500 buildings in areas east of the “yellow line,” the boundary its forces withdrew to after the ceasefire began a month ago, according to satellite images by Planet Labs reviewed by the BBC. The photos show entire neighborhoods leveled in less than a month, including zones that showed no prior damage. Targeted areas include Abasan al-Kabira in eastern Khan Younis, Al-Bayuk east of Rafah, Shejaiya in Gaza City, and land near the Indonesian Hospital on the edge of the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza. The BBC says the true number of destroyed buildings is likely much higher.
