This Saturday, November 15, at 9:00 am we will be hanging up Christmas lights on the outside of the church building! We are looking for people who are able to be up on ladders as well as people who can help from the ground.

And of course we will have coffee and donuts. :)

We are hosting our 3rd Annual Fall Festival TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 29 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Whether you’ve been part of our church family forever or this is your first visit, come as you are. Costumes are encouraged, smiles are guaranteed, and there’s a place for everyone.

Join us this Sunday, November 2 for worship as we remember the saints who have gone before us this past year. From the early days of Christianity, there is a sense that the Church consists of not only all living believers, but also all who have gone before us.

Everyone is invited to get to church a little early this Sunday for some temporary tattoos! While you are enjoying our coffee and donuts, Deb will be set up to help you pick out the best tattoo for you! This event is inspired by the wonderful ladies of Ruth Circle. We hope to see you there!!

Harvest Harmony - Sunday, November 2

Do you have a child who is 3rd grade or older and interested in being an acolyte during worship! We are having an acolyte training this Sunday, October 26 after worship in the sanctuary! Please join us!

Our church family enjoyed puppy pets, sunshine, "gentle" breezes and worship outside this past Sunday! Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought their pets to be blessed!

West Heights was represented at the Wichita Pride Unity March this past Saturday! Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Our dragon and knight need a castle for a fun trick-or-treat stop at our Fall Festival on October 29! If you are able to donate boxes of mac and cheese, please drop them off in the donation station outside of the sanctuary or in the office. All donations will be taken to Open Door.

The internet says that today is National Dessert Day! What a fantastic thing to celebrate!

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! A special time set aside each year to honor pastors and thank them for their hard work, sacrificial dedication and servant leadership.

Sunday, November 2, we will celebrate All Saints Day, remembering our loved ones who have gone before us. If you have lost a family member or friend since November 2024 and would like to have a candle lit in remembrance of them, please contact Leslie at communications@westheightsumc.org.

Don't forget! Children's Ministry is collecting boxes of Mac & Cheese until October 26! They will be using the boxes to build a trick-or-treating stop during our Fall Festival! Then all boxes will be donated to Open Door. Help our ministry then help our neighbors!

West Heights is hosting our Fall Festival on Wed, October 29 from 6-7:30 PM. We’ll have a free will offering hot dog dinner, games and activities for all ages, cotton candy, a photo booth, and our beloved book giveaway so every child can take home a story of their own. Join us!

Come sing with us—you might just find that choir is exactly where you belong! Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:15–7:30 PM and on Sunday mornings at 9:20 AM. No prior choir experience is required—just bring your voice, your enthusiasm, and lets make a joyful noise!

So we hear it's National Dog Day? What a fun day to celebrate! Here are some throwback puppy pictures from our Pet Blessing Service last year. We will be having another outdoor worship service to bless our pets on October 12, so be watching for more information!

The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at West Heights on Monday, August 25 from 1:00pm - 6:00pm. Scan the QR codes to schedule an appointment or contact the Red Cross by phone or website. Let's help keep the supply afloat.
