Those songs have a happy vibe that is pretty rare for AIC. It’s not the band you go to for upbeat toe tappers, but the change of pace was cool.

I listened to all these albums again front to back and I think Rainier Fog is their best work since JoF. That’s #3 with William which is when a lot of bands hit their stride. Layne was irreplaceable but the whole band just works.
