I failed doing an any% run like 3 times today due to big mistakes, but I've been able to save the recording and upload them as Individual World times, as there are still some worlds that I do quite well in these failures. Three uploads in a day is pretty crazy, I've been grinding runs today.

pretty eh time I just got, it mostly follows zodaNOR's route but it got like 10 big mistakes, so it's only a PB by 10 seconds, and not a sub hour or the WR.

Lesson learned. Don't have a bajillion complex notes going on at once like this song. It sounds really bad.

Also I forgot to change the title screen on the thumbnail to be Fire 'N Ice so I'll do that when I change the title okey dokey?

It would make logical sense for me to take (World Record!) out of my title for the 1:00:15 PB I got, but I heard changing titles and thumbnails "resets" your video for the algorithm which would make it get way less views than it could if I waited to update the title, so give me a week to change it.

I may not get the first sub hour, but I can get the first sub 59:50, or maybe the first perfect run with no mistakes and the best route.

Soooo... Apparently the "top 3", me, NecroSeth, and st_, never actually had the WR on FNI any%. This whole time, ZodaNOR had the WR, a 59:55, the first sub hour, and just didn't submit it to SRC. I submitted it on ZodaNOR's behalf, so the leaderboard is accurate now, but I will "take back" the WR.

Apparently this is an issue with Google Translate thinking "Krasio" is a word in another language that translates to "Decorated". Or at least that's what it seems like, since it stopped when I turned off Google Translate for the page.

The splits for a Fire 'N Ice any% run. World 1 got a time of 2:59, making me 0.4 seconds faster, World 2 got a time of 7:13, making me 0.7 seconds faster, World 3 got a time of 11:48, making me 1.3 seconds faster, World 4 got a time of 17:11, making me 7.5 seconds faster, World 5 got a time of 22:53, making me 9.1 seconds faster, World 6 got a time of 27:52, making me 13.4 seconds faster, World 7 got a time of 34:59, making me 29.1 seconds faster, World 8 got a time of 39:58, making me 31.9 seconds faster, World 9 got a time of 47:21, making me 41.1 seconds faster, and World 10 got a time of 1:00:16, making me 56 seconds faster. World 10 saved 14.9 seconds, my SoB says 1:00:16 on the timer, but it's really 1:00:13, and the final time was 1:00:16.226 (to be retimed later)

👀 32 seconds faster than the WR, mayhaps...?

This run will be submitted tomorrow, and then I'll have all of the world records outside of some individual worlds and 150 levels categories, which I'm saving for later.

I accidentally started recording like 2 seconds after starting the run, so the run is invalid and can't be submitted. ):

bro my newest Fire 'N Ice speedrun was so slow that the file size was so large that it crashed my splits when I was downloading the recording and now I don't have the splits for this run anymore because I wasn't able to save them. Still technically a PB in FNI any%, but way slower than my Snk2 any%.

What is this bug on Speedrun.com? It says I last visited the Fire 'N Ice leaderboard 2 months ago, while I submitted a run, and therefore visited the leaderboard, 4 days ago. Plus I've visited the leaderboard way more than 3 times.

The end screen of a video titled "ソロモンの鍵２ (NES) World 1 Speedrun: 2:57.600 (World Record)" by Krasio. The channels Krasio, Krasialt, and the playlist Fire 'N Ice Speedruns are displayed, and the chapter is "Win!" Most importantly, the seconds are 3:02 out of 3:00, saying that I am further into the video than the total video length.

The timecode for this world 1 Speedrun says 3:03 / 3:00, signifying that I am 3 seconds ahead of where the video supposedly ended.

I was just rewatching this SnK2 world 1 Speedrun I uploaded, and a silly YouTube bug arose.

I've completed the title screen and world map, as well as a couple sprites for world 1. This is basically a demo for the big version I'll make in Unity later, as it won't have a settings menu, edit mode, bonus levels, or even half the main levels.

Just got a 1:00:41 in Solomon no Kagi 2 any%, beating the FNI any% WR by a few seconds, when SnK2 is a longer version of the game. My recording corrupted though... ):

I was already annoyed that my recording of a 1:01:08 time for Solomon no Kagi 2 any% didn't save, but now this happened to a way better run, a 1:00:49. (For reference, the WR in Fire 'N Ice any%, a category that's 10 seconds shorter, is 1:00:48. I basically got the WR and can't submit it.)

My computers aren't really good enough to edit videos together, now that my PC has slowed down so much, so I won't be able to have the timer on screen for my Fire 'N Ice speedruns. This shaves off like 2 days off the process to edit/upload/submit my speedruns though, so it's better until I can edit.

I was on pace to get a sub 1:01:XX Solomon no Kagi 2 (the Japnese version of Fire 'N Ice / Solomon's Key 2) Any% time, with a 1:00:56, and then I died twice on the final level and got a 1:02:03. This is so devastating! My SoB for this category is 1:00:48, but I just can't get close!

I said this, and then promptly reset the run like 6 or 7 times. Expect a run in single digit November. (before November 10th)

All of the Fire 'N Ice (NES) speedruns I've done in the past few days have either not been recorded properly because of technical difficulties, or been so filled with mistakes that I had to reset. The next speedrun I do should hopefully be a recorded PB though.

WR and the TAS, you'll definitely beat the WR. This is what I'm planning to do. But first, I'll beat the WR on the version of the game that's like 10 seconds slower, as in beat the WR by 10 seconds before actually doing the category that the WR is in and beating it by 10 seconds there.

The TAS of Fire 'N Ice obviously saves tons of time with doing everything on the first possible frame, but it also loses a bit of time from doing the slower routes, and saves like 20 seconds from doing the fastest routes that aren't even in the WR. *2 to 5 months until I get a new computer that can actually screen record using OBS and edit videos and digitally draw without crashing, failing, or taking decades to load.

Okay my next few speedruns are going to be a bit scuffed, since I can't use any screen recorders on the computer I'm playing on. I'll point the computer I'm splitting on at the computer I'm playing on with the camera on so you see a video of the gameplay from the camera. Why must I wait 2-5 months?!
