Here are the steps of my process for this video I have planned:

Make all GIMP drawings for section 1 of vid: in progress
Add new VO lines
Edit section 1
Make all GIMP drawings for rest of vid
Edit rest of vid
Make thumbnail, CC, title, description, etc.

After I finally finish this, I'd rather prioritize videos that require less editing, like challenge runs, speedrun-related vids (races, bingo/lockout races, speedrun soul links (I can explain what I mean by this if people are curious), etc.), and ROM Hack playthroughs.

I'm just now realizing how much work this one 6.5 minute video is going to take since it's all editing from scratch, needing to make images and record gameplay that'll only be on screen for a couple seconds, dozens of separate times.

just wanted some background video of running world 1 of every version of Fire 'N Ice, and it took me like 40 minutes to record this because for some reason I could not stand having a mistake in one of the runs. Will upload these runs so that I have a fast world 1 for every version submitted to SRC.

Is it okay if I include your post and its replies where people are expressing they prefer the EU cover to the US cover as visuals in the version differences video to express that the EU cover is generally preferred by most people?

oh I figured out the answer to my own question (thanks to Zoda making me realize that I was playing SK2 at 60 Hz instead of 50 Hz at this time), so I've incorporated this into the version differences video, which is turning out to be around 6.4 minutes long.

The idea that I would ever "finish" Fire 'N Ice Speedruns so that I can move on to content after is nonsensical, there are always improvements to be made and barely ran categories to venture into, so it's a much better idea to balance out speedruns and main channel content, doing both consistently.

speedrun days would likely align with activity of other speedrunners, like how ZodaNOR and Smartball got PBs yesterday, making me want to get a PB then as well, but it'd stabilize at ~50% Speedrun days and ~50% Content days.

May set up a schedule for myself of alternating "Speedrun days" and "Content days", where I do Fire 'N Ice Speedruns of whatever category I feel like on "Speedrun days", meant for Krasialt, and then "Content days" I work on editing, thumbnails, recording, just general main channel (Krasio) work.

VO took around 1.5 hours of editing, will likely do visuals next and then music last (likely mostly from Fire 'N Ice OST).

I guess this is the version differences vid progress update thread now, will repost my reply to this thread whenever it's been buried under newer posts and I give a new reply.

Anyway, finished the VO editing, the video is 6 minutes and 20 seconds long. So ~1/3 of the 3x speed vid, should be quicker

oh I'm gonna make a great world record progression vid on Fire 'N Ice any%, once I've made a couple dozen other edited videos and feel proud of my editing skill, plus enough has happened in the progression, I'll start making it.

my SoB is... 59:05, or about 10 seconds slower than ZodaNOR's WR, and around 19 seconds slower than ZodaNOR's SoB.

to a certain extent I'm sort of happy that not as many strats are getting constantly discovered, since it means I don't need to spend tons of time practicing new routes / strats, I can just do any% runs and improve them consistently until a sub 59:10? or some other goal I find to be my end for now.
