Dick Cheney’s legacy is that he turned 9/11 from a national tragedy into a global disaster. He did so through a mixture of arrogance, stupidity and greed and blighted the last quarter century.

A digital poster in the style of a World War II propaganda piece. Isolaed on a yellow background, a normal, squarish, 20-something guy with glasses is sitting working on a laptop. A ghostly figure of Hitler has his arm around the guy and is grinning and shaking a fist triumphantly looking at the laptop screen. On the lid of the laptop where an apple might otherwise be is an openAI logo, bright green, and dripping green ooze down the lid. Text on the poster, in combinations of sans-serif type and brush script reads:
Using Generative AI?
You’re prompting with Hitler!
GenAI is a Fascist Project!
Try using your brain instead
Don’t surrender your creativity to the tech billionaire’s control

Also it seems like the NHS is using a Pfizer jab from last year which isn't updated to the new variants. The private one is the newer jab by almost a year.

IIRC complications from puberty blockers result almost exclusively from their use in treating precocious puberty, not as a part of trans healthcare. It's almost as if "concerns" over health were not the primary motivator in opposition to PBs for trans kids.

Tired all the time? There may be a simple reason for that Levels of fatigue among women in Britain are soaring, and this isn’t the kind that can be cured by a nap. What lies behind the exhaustion epidemic?

the only reason they ever gave me an iron infusion is that i had endometrial cancer that caused endless bleeding and they were able to give me the infusion during the cancer surgery.
we need easier access to iron.

Because it’s cis kids.
The NHS will quite casually give cis kids whatever treatment they need, even PBsπŸ‘‡
No trials. No concerns about side effects. No moral panic.

Motability in the news once more for giving out luxury cars. So I'll say it again once more - it's cheaper to get the luxury model with the features built in then to adapt a basic car with automated everything.

I haven't had top surgery but I've had some visible scarring thanks to EDS so I obsessively researched this before I got married.

Once the scars are properly settled and healed (when they are red or silver) you can use retinoids or acids like glycolic acid to make them less visible but that's months or years after the surgery. But I've noticed both have helped a lot with some of my old ones.

Silicone tape and gel is the only scientifically proven treatment for scars, other stuff helps by keeping it moisturised but you're better off spending money on silicone and using any moisturizer over a specific one that claims to help scars. Tattoo bandages help keep the silicone tape on.

Bear had his 2nd Cartrophen injection today, last week it was done at his usual Solensia appointment so wasn't expecting to go back for 4 weeks. The worst thing is there's two more injections, and then it's 4 weeks pot Solensia so he'll be back for that again. 5 vet appointments in 5 weeks.

Anyone think about the risk to disabled people if Sainsbury's expand facial recognition cameras to all of their stores? They already send CCTV footage of disabled people shopping to the DWP when they legally don't have to. This could be a horrible combo. Hopefully it'll be too £££ for them to do.

Bloody Sunday: Soldier F found not guilty of all charges in Bloody Sunday murder trial Soldier F - who cannot be named - was accused of murdering two people in Londonderry in 1972, plus five counts of attempted murder.

No justice for the victims and their families is now possible.

This govt *hates* disabled people doesn't it?
You all must be in work! But you can't have Access to Work! You can't have independence payments! You can't get the bus in time for work but you also can't have motability! You can't have covid vaccines but when you don't recover it's not our problem.

The way that you quickly realise in an apocalypse situation you'd want people like Daniel (had previously been a member of a El Salvadorian death squad) and Victor (conman/businessman) on your side, even though in a normal situation you'd be horrified to associate with them.

Damn I forgot how good the first season of Fear The Walking Dead is. The implication of the government covering up the spread of zombies, the initial panic as it spills over into everyone's lives, and then the small fascist military state that oppresses survivors.

Every single piece of research demonstrates that this is dangerously medically wrong. We’ve never had any reason to believe otherwise, medicine has always known this.

In terms even the NHS can understand: people at highest risk of breast cancer all have one thing in common and it isn’t a uterus.

Again, Β£180 is too much for some people to afford, but how is it so much that it should disqualify me for benefits? It's not Β£18k ffs. I can have up to Β£6k in savings, which is a lot more than Β£180.

Bloody hell don't post about the COVID vax on threads, had multiple random people kicking off with conspiracy theories. Even had someone say "if you can afford Β£180 then you're too rich to be on benefits".
