Was kinda shocked watching it back now😭 a bunch of these issues are still around today but thankfully the amount of good representation thanks to queer developers and creative teams has left it in a better place than it was during this video

Has an insane throwback this afternoon, I remember watching this video 10+ years ago and despite some dated terms it’s crazy how such a deep conversation about the issues of queer representation in gaming came from game theory in 2014 of all places

Unfortunately it’s a combination of people not caring enough to take action, and crowd being big enough and loud enough to have a space on twitter where they wouldn’t on any other platform

As a community it lowkey might be better to use here more. I saw a tweet that summed it up very well but it was about how this recent grift in the smash community is only really possible because of twitter. Moving to another space might be the only way to actually do something about it
