A group of fifteen cardinals sits among the many thin branches of a drooping tree limb in the midst of a snow storm against a background of distant bare trees and snowy ground. The six males are brilliantly red with black face masks, triangular orange beaks, and red crests while the remaining females are a much more subdued but also stunning creamy brown with pale red highlights in their crests, wings, and tails.

People overseas love their kids just as much as you love yours. Your kids aren’t more special just because they were born on US soil

We live in a world which becomes increasingly volatile with the madness & destruction of world leaders. Periodically, tune out and tune in to nature. We all need balance.

You sound like an unhinged person if you in plain words describe what’s happening, but the Trump admin demanded Anthropic’s AI be able to kill things for it w/out human approval and also do mass surveillance.

Anthropic said no, and now the admin is trying to destroy the company in retaliation.

the fact the president of the united states is even thinking about asserting emergency powers to disrupt an election - just a few years after he incited an armed coup attempt - should be the top issue. but the media mostly shrugs and the opposition doesnt focus on it.

Netflix Backs Out of Bid for Warner Bros., Paving Way for an Ellison Takeover

The richest man owns X.

The second and third richest men control Google.

The fourth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fifth richest man owns The Washington Post.

And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros.

See the problem here?

Even if the regime is out of office, the voters who thought this was a great idea will still be out there. That is obviously on the minds of our former allies.

Close-up macro photograph of a cluster of Forget Me Not flowers growing in the grounds of Springhill House in Moneymore. The largest bloom in the centre is soft sky-blue with five rounded petals and a bright yellow eye, its surface gently textured and luminous in natural light. Nestled beside it are vivid pink buds and a partially opened magenta flower, their stems covered in fine bristly hairs. The background falls away into a smooth, dark green blur, making the colours appear almost jewel-like against the shaded garden setting.

Springhill House, a 17th-century plantation house near Moneymore in County Londonderry, was built around 1667 by William Conyngham, a Scottish settler granted land during the Ulster Plantation. The house remained in the Conyngham family for generations and is known for its distinctive thatched roof, elegant Georgian interiors, and estate woodlands. Today it is cared for by the National Trust and is appreciated for both its historical significance and its tranquil, carefully tended gardens.

People do what you pay them to do.
You pay corporate executives to make stock prices go up, not to make better products.
You pay politicians to get re-elected, not to govern well.
You pay reporters to get a bigger audience, not to tell the truth.
And so forth.
Be aware of what you pay people to do

I live in Minnesota and I want the federal government to stop trying to kill us. And hurt us. I want them to stop attacking us.

It sucks.

We’re just trying to live our lives and take care of each other and we don’t deserve all this.

I kid around sometimes here but I’m not kidding now.

Very much this right here. The federal government is hindering the people of Minnesota from exercising their rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Legislation to criminalize dissent in the β€˜Free’ State of Florida? Proposals quietly moving through the Legislature would create a new counterintelligence unit in state government, echoing the FBI’s controversial COINTELPRO in the 1960s.

DeSantis plans on making it illegal to have altering viewpoints than the state or the country and we can be arrested if we hold such viewpoints. Talk about authoritarianism.
