My newest favorite glaze! Seattle Pottery Supply SP-37 Turquoise Matte is wonderful on this reddish brown clay by itself. Excited to experiment with it and see what it can do when mixed with other glazes.

Here's another one just posted to my Etsy.

This nerikomi pot is made from a mix of SPS Eclipse and Awajii clays. It's time-consuming, but the effect when fired is beautiful.

OK, interwebs I need your help. This sculpture needs a crown or halo. I was thinking about a tubular fluorescent light, but can’t find anything the proper size (approximately 6 inches internal diameter).

Any suggestions for what I could use?

Congratulations! My completely unsolicited advice: make what inspires you and don’t overthink what people might buy. People will be drawn to what reflects your soul more so than anything else. Just keep making stuff!!

Windsor helped me make a totem for the garden. Still need to finish the top - but progress has been made.

Haha - I was hoping no one would notice this! The feet were a nightmare because the pot came out too narrow for a typical 2x2 orientation. And after the feet were positioned it was clear that wire holes would be a problem. I debated whether or not to add them at all because of what you call out.

New pot posted on my Etsy shop. The feet were a challenge in this one - but I like how they turned out.

The feet are easy. A blob of clay then spin the pot on a banding wheel and β€œpullβ€œ the clay up to desired height/thickness. Gives a nice spiral texture as well. Show me what you end up doing.
