Design intent makes zero sense to me. Haven’t we been universally griping that cards with the design intent to be commander playable make the format less good? Isn’t the whole point of commander playing in a way not intended to have casual fun?

Honestly, I think Ajani was the best choice. My big issue with Tamiyo's compleation is that it felt like they artificially picked her to sell NEO as a set, which lead to what should have been an exploration of this insane new plane and it's growing revolution getting truncated into PWs vs Phyrexians

Actually, I did some testing, and -(atag:external-ip and is:reprint) works better since more cards are tagged through art than oracle text :)

Go to Account Settings -> User Preferences -> Default Scryfall Query (Deck Building) -> (-is:universes beyond and -is:reprint) :) hope that helps

All of the actual cards we got on Avishkar were wonderful and exciting, but the focus on the planes felt so miniscule in comparison to Funny Racecar! The story did an awesome job focusing more on the planes than the actual cards imo
