These gorgeous images to start my day here in Canada and the month of December and as I write about bird migration for my book on preservation. With thanks to Ian @iand777.bsky.social for his keen and artistic eye.

LOL You needn't be a man or fair haired to sit comfortably on a fried egg chair. I support all genders/non-binary we humans embody day to day. Can you tell I'm procrastinating on bsky from focus on MFA assignment due tomorrow (5000+ words) by trying to engage in a thread on leg length n' chair yoga?
01.12.2025 00:57 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I'm five foot two but I don't even have eyes of blue to sing the song. I had to cling to Brown eyed Girl even though my eyes are hazel. No one writes songs about hazel eyes, Finn. The only words that rhyme with hazel are nasal and appraisal. And basil. I'm five feet two but I have no romantic songs.

It was given this name because it was initially designed in a cream colour with the seat cushion of the chair in yellow so that from above, the seat resembled a broken egg frying in a pan. Part of the chair has a wide, sloping, curved arm so that those seated can turn their bodies and have their legs supported by this arm. The chair was designed by Olsen in 1956 and is now enjoying a resurgence seventy years later. LOL this happens to me all the time (primarily because the distance from the back of the chairs and the the edge of the seat is so dang long. Half the time my legs stick out straight. I hate when they dangle. Writers must be provided a "fried egg" chair a la Hans Olsen. So we can lounge comfortably.

Disabled people have worth.
Children have worth.
The elderly have worth.
The homeless have worth.
Those in power want you to de-value others so you will accept atrocities.
I have always loved that many beeches keep their leaves during winter and then are pushed out gently by new buds come spring. #Beeches

don't forget it: Libraries BUY tons of books! And the more they circulate, the more they have to purchase more copies as they wear out (or the e-book checkouts expire). libraries and schools buy a huge portion of the books by new, local, and lesser-known authors. Use the library!
