With a focus on Tampa Bay area veterans, our country is better because of the honoree's service.

President Obama and Michelle Obama served America with respect for all people, expanded affordable health care, honored our veterans and inspired us on in progress.

The current occupant of the White House is not worthy to be our president. He’s the lowest of the low.

Castor Stands Firmly Against the Trump Administration's ICE and CBP Brutality

This is a moral moment for America.

After the brutal murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and the widespread abuse of power by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), I cannot support one penny more for the lawless actions of the DHS.

In America, we take pride in our 1st Amendment freedom of the press and freedom of speech. I stand with the journalists who are documenting history and Trump’s ongoing abuses of power.

They must be freed immediately.

This ongoing abuse has to stop. I am calling for a full and impartial investigation into the deaths of Renee Good, Alex Pretti and all others under Trump's DHS.

This morning, I signed on to Articles of Impeachment against DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

Secretary Noem & DHS employees have systemically violated the rights and privacy of Americans, terrorized our cities, and obstructed Congress.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

Trump must immediately end the siege, and allow local law enforcement to keep the city safe.

These investments will lower the cost of living, boost opportunities through skills training, create jobs, support Veterans, and address housing affordability.

I’m grateful to my Democratic colleagues for standing strong to reject extreme cuts pushed by MAGA Republicans.
