As a disabled resident of Halesowen, I am directly affected by the Labour Government’s Pathways to Work Green Paper. These proposals risk worsening my health and living conditions, pushing my family and me further into poverty and serious danger.

Green party surging as Polanski’s social media strategy w... Green Party membership has more than doubled, driven in part by its platform messaging on apps like TikTok

"Polanski has blended anger with hope.

“Hope is much more difficult to sell than outrage, but he’s finding a way to do it that connects with people.”

Let's make hope normal again!

This is PRECISELY why ME has to be universally recognised as a physical illness, so doctors can do justice to the patient in front of them - this letter shows EXACTLY how, by blurring the issue (mind/body blabla), we can do justice neither to a person’s physical nor their mental health.

‚It is an appalling failure of research, fact checking and editorial supervision that an otherwise informative and necessary piece about the experiences people with chronic health conditions has misled readers in such crucial ways and perpetuated these damaging myths.‘

WILL NEW DWP BOSS MCFADDEN BE WORSE THAN KENDALL
Last week, Liz Kendall was sacked as secretary of state for work and
pensions, and was replaced by Pat McFadden.
But will a cabinet enforcer who talks tough on welfare, but has a strong
liking for freebies and handouts, be worse news than his predecessor for
 claimants?
In July 2012, just before MPs expenses rules were changed to stop them
claiming mortgage interest, McFadden moved out of his own home and
 rented the house next door.
He was able to claim the £625 rent he paid as allowable expenses whilst
installing a tenant into the home he owned and charging them £700 a
month rent to cover the mortgage.
This is the same man who told Sky News last September "It's really
important that if money is spent on benefits, it goes to those who are
genuinely in need of it, and where there's fraud in the system that we try to
 root that out."
Yet between March and July 2024, McFadden received gifts of football and
concert tickets to the value of £5,620.
That's more than many claimants get in benefits.
