Throughout the entire show the point is made, that the past isn‘t reversible. So that entire timeline in the outside world of seasons 6 takes place in the afterlife. Everything else did happen the way we saw it right until the very end when Jack saved the island

They‘re dead in the end yes, but they weren’t dead all along. Everything that happened happened. The last seem takes place a long time after the events on the island. The twist is: we thought we were seeing an alternative timeline in which the plane didn‘t crash, but it always crashed.

LOST ending explained.

Finished rewatch of LOST and realised: Back then I and many „others“ pun intended😂 misinterpreted the ending. Spoilers in the comments.

Tried that once too. But it felt too much like work to me 😂

I also tend to move away from the plot I’ve laid out beforehand, it’s more like a guideline than a blueprint. Also my endings tend to change. But I guess you just learn more about the story as you’re writing it
