And I remember wearing a respirator a year or later during fires and walked into work like that and everyone thought I was crazy. People were eating outside, including a couple that lost their home in the 2017 fire. I swear people have no sense of self-preservation.

I think bad to 2017 and not wanting to mask during the fire all the time. I really had never even thought of that as an option until there was ash raining from the sky, and people were largely unconcerned. I volunteered with a friend who gave me a bandana to wear when I struggled with my mask.

How have we gotten so anti-mask that they're not telling people to put on respirators when they do need to go outside? I know people have been resistant to that forever, I was resistant myself in 2017 when we had bad fires, but articles not even suggesting it is wild. Irresponsible.
