Transportation agency dismisses NWTโs CN Rail complaint
The Canadian Transportation Agency has dismissed the GNWT's application in a dispute with CN Rail over a section of damaged rail line.

Man appealing conviction of possessing cocaine for trafficking
A man arrested in Yellowknife in 2019 is appealing a trafficking-related conviction, arguing the case should've been thrown out over Charter rights violations.
Noel Tesfazion was recently convicted and given an 18-month conditional sentence for possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking in Yellowknife in May 2019. He is now appealing arguing that the charge should have been thrown out due to Charter rights violations. cabinradio.ca/251792/news/...

Man who murdered NWT RCMP officer denied early parole
A man who killed an RCMP officer in Hay River in 2009 and was sentenced to life in prison has been denied early release on parole.
In 2009, Emrah Bulatci was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Cst Christopher Worden and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years. The NWT Supreme Court recently rejected his "faint hope" application for early release. cabinradio.ca/247550/news/...

I will say on a few occasions when regular MLAs have said they had to hear about something from Cabin Radio rather than Cabinet, I think they just didnโt read their email. There are also some ppl that think we have some special relationship with the GNWT rather than just being good at our jobs.
