I think a lot of tech people had a grand self narrative to save the world in part because they just wanted to feel loved and appreciated (but im also just telling on myself here 😇)

I sat next to an older man while waiting for my food. I said “nice day isn’t it?” he said yes, and we ate in comfortable silence. I got up to go without eye contact, and I heard him eagerly say “goodbye!” and that felt really nice

the biggest new thing was visiting the pasadena architectural salvage!! saving for a fancy sink never crossed my mind, and now it’s seared in there I’m afraid

I’ve been pushing myself to do things that make me feel alive, which I’ve been defining as “doing new things in new places” 😆

I went to a new coffee shop, visited a ceramics store I’ve been eyeing (obsessed with their door latch) and laughed with strangers about 69.99

Yesterday was really nice too, I tried a new cafe that made one of the best quiches of my life, and exchanged gifts with a friend. I haven’t been keeping count of the days ❄️

A lot of effort organizing my workspace is paying off

I absolutely hate that I’m wearing a tank top in December

I’ve been feeling really tired by the end of this year, but I’m so glad I did this market. I hadn’t interacted with strangers in this way in a long time, and it really re-energized me 💪🏼
