Happy Heavenly Birthday to Win Remmerswaal who passed away at the age of 68 in 2022, he was born in the Netherlands and was the 1st European trained player to reach the Majors. The Sox signed him as an undrafted FA in 1974 and he pitched in 22 Games for the 1979 & 80 Sox, going 3-1, with a 5.50 ERA.

Happy 73rd Birthday to Jim Rice who was the Red Sox 1st rd draft pick in 1971. Rice played for the Sox from 1974-89, hitting .298, with 382 HR’s, 1,451 RBI’s, a .854 OPS and a 47.7 WAR. He was an 8x All Star, won 1 MVP, with 6 top 5 finishes and was enshrined into the Hall of Fame in 2009.
