Speaking before the Joint Oireachtas Committee this morning, IFUT General Secretary Frank Jones stated: the only way to guarantee fair terms for Doctoral Candidates is to recognise them as workers, grant employee status, and require collective bargaining — locally or sectorally — with trade unions.
