I’m on the fringes of the bad part of the storm, so I’m doing okay here. I was coming here to see how you were doing, because I know you’re much closer to the worst of it.

Some states are working to override the FDA recommendations, though. Sadly, my state (New Hampshire) has so far refused to join those multi-state coalitions.

Yeah, my health insurance still covers them, but basically if you’re outside that age bracket for FDA approval, the pharmacies tend to treat it like a prescription, meaning they will only distribute it if your doctor tells them to.

Which is annoying as hell and drives down vaccination rates.

I’m not certain yet, but when I got my COVID booster this past autumn, the pharmacist said I didn’t technically qualify but she winked and passed me through anyway. But she did say it was likely I would need my doctor’s recommendation to get a booster shot again in 2026.

Before it aired, I was very skeptical and I thought I wouldn’t like it all. But with each episode, I’ve been enjoying it more and more. It’s not perfect, but I don’t think any Star Trek has been. But this one has a lot of little points that I’ve loved.
