Side note, those Olympics were a factor in my decision to do a summer exchange to Norway that next year. Coincidentally, one of the other American students I met on the trip was a competitive ice dancer.

Oh my goodness, the flashbacks to this story and this time!! It was all over the local news as well, since I grew up in Massachusetts, where Nancy Kerrigan is also from. My family were sports fans so we were of course tuned into the Olympics.
