This is the right context for turnout last night, it's an interesting figure that aligns with our priors but it's so noisy that trying to make county- and district-level conclusions around it is a stretch. Predictive value isn't great.

The primary results seem to affirm that the Texas GOP is now solidly uber fascist right wing (Steve Toth, Bo French), which gives me hope that the old school moderate Rs will swing to Talarico in the general. The fact that Paxton didn’t win his primary outright tells you how uniquely toxic he is.
