Was it a high tide? Or a low one.

The last piece of art I purchased was a Gris one. Ash and I had such a rollercoaster of emotions going through that game!...

Cyberpunk cockney rhyming slang:

The cold = the internet. From cold and wet.
Corp/corporate = hacking. From corporate backing.
Smiley = virus. From Miley Cyrus.
Varnishing = Cracking. From varnish and lacquer.
Musket = social engineer. From musketeer.

This is like one of those Freddy vs Jason vs Chucky vs Alien movies…you don’t want any of them to win, but you can still applaud a particularly good hit.

Worked out better for Movie John than Book John, though.

I've always been fascinated by these Brutalist war memorials in the former Yugoslavia. They're featured heavily in JΓ³hann JΓ³hannsson's 2020 film, Last and First Men which is based on the Olaf Stapledon novel.

I hope we go from colour experiment 101 to 201 rather than a different experiment altogether. There's so much more that can be done in the space they've barely cracked open.

You (collective you) are much better off with a rewatch, reread, or even a replay of the games if it's the vibe you're going for. Chaotic martial art shenanigans pop much better out of those other mediums than from a card game, I'd say.

I quite enjoyed the first Strixhaven set - grabbed all the precons - however I'll have to point out a slight oversight as there is a D&D sourcebook for the setting.

That being said, I completely agree that the other TMNT sources vastly outweighs whatever turtle vibe one might want from the set.

If a trans person were caught jaywalking Republicans would be ranting about it every chance they got, meanwhile a trans person JUMPED INTO LAKE MICHIGAN IN THE WINTER AND RESCUED A STRANGER’S BABY and it’s crickets.

"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adultsβ€”Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebeβ€”living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

I'm in the double digits of playthrough. I hadn't enjoyed a single-player game to that degree since Half-Life 2.

"Can you describe him?" [matching 70% of other nerds my age]

And none of them could remember how they met me, when prompted. A comedy or errors that ended up pretty well all things considered.

My wife thought I was a joke setup by the rest of her D&D crew, for a couple of months. I was meant to join, then life got in the way and I missed a few sessions but was still assumed to be coming so she, who had not actually met me yet unlike the rest of them, started thinking this was all fake.

There is a small human figure standing on their purple outstretched hand. In the background are a green sky, orange mountains, and a moon. The orphan-crushing machine is just a tool. You can also use it to mulch puppies and purΓ©e kittens.

Why are you angry? You can use it for harmless tasks like making mashed potatoes. You eat mashed potatoes don't you? Yes, admittedly it leaks machine oil into the potatoes, but they're working on that. It leaks so much less oil than it did when you tried it three months ago. In a year from now it's going to be a Michelin-starred chef.

Well, that’s typical, gatekeeping by telling people they should have to learn to cook. You don’t think people who can’t cook deserve good food?

So what if the machine is powered by slave labor? That's innovation. You're just scared you're going to be one of them. Besides, it's inevitable. Nobody is going to crush orphans by hand any more. You're going to get left behind.

Oh, well there you go with your ridiculous purity culture again.

Sometimes I think "Do I really suspect people to play Tide Breaker? A 4 year old game?"

Then I remember 5e was released 12 years ago.

BiTD 10 years ago.

AW 1e 16 years ago... and everything that's ridden its coattails since.

Yeah, I'm gonna keep promoting and so should you, #ttrpg dev

I love the sweaty predictions that Trump's State of the Union gives him a chance to reverse his plummeting approval ratings.

Yeah, man, people love to hear this guy talk at length. I'm sure a few rambling hours of him airing his grubby little grievances will really draw them back in.
