I think they named it Cursor because after your vibe code generated slop gets written, you start cursing your entire way through trying to fix the issues it created

Hopefully the copilot folks come up with a better workflow than Cursor. They seem to be concerned with the programmer DX, which is great!

The writing/editing of code was never the roadblock for efficiency when writing code. It’s always been about how fast you can problem solve. Instead of truly understanding the options available for the problem you’re trying to solve, Cursor chooses for you and 1/2

I’m having the toughest time picking a desktop framework to use for a trading app I want to build.

I want it to be cross platform (mobile, web too), performant, and have access to great graphing libs.

The best ones I’ve found are on .NET, but I’m looking at rust too. Anyone have recommendations?

Well the market just flew upwards because Trump just announced a 90 day pause on tariffs for all countries besides China. This might end up being a man made “v shape recovery”. I wonder how many of his billionaire buddies knew he was going to do this.

Anyway with these AI coding experiments I’ve been doing, it’s good to know my skepticism isn’t simply just being old and cranky for the sake of being old and cranky: my instincts (that they’re being oversold by people who have incentives to do so) is still correct
