SDJ de l’AFP – 21 juillet 2025 – Sans intervention immédiate, les deniers reporters de Gaza vont mourir L'AFP travaille avec une pigiste texte, trois photographes et six pigistes vidéo dans la Bande de Gaza depuis le départ le de ses journalistes staff courant 2024. Avec quelques autres, ils sont aujourd’hui les seuls à rapporter ce qu'il se passe dans la Bande de Gaza. La presse internationale est interdite d'entrer dans ce territoire depuis près de deux ans. Nous refusons de les voir mourir. L'un deux, Bashar, collabore pour l'AFP depuis 2010, d'abord comme fixeur, ensuite comme photographe pigiste, et depuis 2024 comme principal photographe. Samedi 19 juillet, il est parvenu à poster un message sur Facebook : «Je n'ai plus la force de travailler pour les médias. Mon corps est maigre et je ne peux plus travailler». Bashar, 30 ans, travaille et vit dans des conditions égales à celles de tous les Gazaouis, allant d'un camp de réfugiés à un autre camp au gré des bombardements israéliens. Depuis plus d'un an il vit dans le dénuement le plus total et travaille en prenant d'énormes risques pour sa vie. L'hygiène est pour lui un problème majeur, avec des périodes de maladies intestinales sévères. Bashar vit depuis février dans les ruines de sa maison de Gaza City avec sa mère, ses quatre frères et sœurs et la famille d'un de ses frères. Leur maison est vide de tout aménagement et confort, à part quelques cousins. Dimanche matin, il a rapporté que son frère aîné était «tombé, à cause de la faim». Même si ces journalistes reçoivent un salaire mensuel de l'AFP, il n'y a rien à acheter ou alors à des prix totalement exorbitants. Le système bancaire a disparu, et ceux qui pratiquent le change entre les comptes bancaires en ligne et l'argent liquide prennent une commission de près de 40%. L'AFP n’a plus la possibilité d'avoir un véhicule et encore moins de l'essence pour permettre à ses journalistes de se déplacer pour leurs reportages.

Communiqué de la SDJ de l'@afp.com : "Depuis que l'AFP a été fondée en août 1944, nous avons perdu des journalistes dans des conflits, nous avons eu des blessés et des prisonniers dans nos rangs, mais aucun de nous n’a le souvenir d'avoir vu un collaborateur mourir de faim." #Gaza

For my day back I am hesitating if I should play Expedition 33 and display a terrible lack of reflexes that I will blame on my age, Fields of Mistria or Spooky's Mansion, so if you have a fave, pick it and let me know !

I will also likely be back to streaming in two weeks, with the most randomesque schedule possible, and we'll mostly be complaining about the weather and how "back in my days we could open the windows in summer without being microwaved away from the surface of the world"

Please do not that the game doesn't have an "ending" and is more like a lil snack game that the devs chomp sometimes when they have time :) It might be finished one day, or not, I'm still thankful it exists, as it is very soothing !

April Grove screenshot showing the essentials : On the right, your level gauge, it fills whenever you manage to chop a log. On the left, your inventory. On top, you can have one food/drink to help you, as well as a trinket. The middle part will be occupied by all the logs you keep in your pockets, then the bottom is the amount of money you possess. As for the giant lady in the middle, she's the one that makes sure the trees grow back, so you can murder them again, again and again.

April Grove screenshot : As you level up, you will be able (or not) to unlock new paths, every ten levels or so, you will be able to cut a new sort of tree, and there's a lot of hidden little paths, caverns and NPCs.

Just finished April Grove : Your, your axe, the beautiful redundant sound of an ecosystem being obliterated, one chop at a time. Kidding : The woods grow back ! The slowest paced game to play while you're watching something on the side, very soothing, I would honestly recommend as a "fidget toy".

If Winion Virus interests you I would suggest to NOT look up the trailer, do NOT look up the screenshots on the Steam page. It literally shows end game content. I understand the need to show a little shock factor to grab ppl's interest but it really IS the end of the game's bits.

Finished Winion Virus, a visual novel about raising small virtual pets into good adults so they can benefit human society in the future. Maybe. The story is nice but lots of repetition, the translation is a bit wonky at times. If you need your shot of depression and creepypasta setting, go !

Finished Aliya : Timelink. You SOMEHOW end up replacing the life support AI of Aliya's ship, 1000 years in the future. You talk to her via a chat app. That's it. She needs your support, you can learn about her lifestyle in the future, and she responds in real time, just like Bury Me My Love :)

VERY UNSURE what I just went through.
It was pretty, surrealist, oscillating between peak comedy and despair-filled moments, with little to no inbetween. I liked what I saw but I lack the words to describe it.
