Abel Vumilia - Workaid Abel, 28, began working as a carpenter in 2018, learning the trade informally on the job. Last year, he completed a carpentry course.

Meet Abel Vumilia! He completed a carpentry course at Kalwande Training Centre in Tanzania where he learnt how to create complex joints and properly maintain his tools. Now he produces furniture!

Container Prue, filled with 703 boxes of tools, was successfully lifted from our workshop in Chesham and has begun its journey to Zambia!

Philip, a long-term volunteer, named this container in honour of his mother, who passed away last year at the remarkable age of 97.
