Took my pants out of my closet this AM, laid them on the bed. Continued to work on sorting laundry when I noticed what appeared to be a large bit of clumped cat hair or lint on the pants. Upon closer inspection, big spider.

Don't worry. I trapped and released. Not arachnophobic. Just surprised.

Went to see The Conjuring this afternoon. Like previous conjuring movies, it did a good job of building tension and suspense, leading to several good jump-scares.

I'm never one for horror movies, but the Conjuring movies have always hit just the right spot that I can watch.

In a desperate attempt to disassociate from *gestures wildly* everything...I've already started binging Hallmark Christmas movies. I've watched 17 already.

I just discovered we have shampoo plants in our backyard!! I've only lived here SIX years.

Sheesh. I thought I was observant. It took 2 months (only) to see the aloe. It took a year to see the beauty berries. It took 2 years to see the gardenias.

6 years. SIX. Ugh. Ah well, I sees it now.

Okay. I was a good girl & did my schoolwork first. Now, I have full freedom to head into the writing cave tomorrow. Right now I need to take something for this headache (APA papers, man...always give me a headache...well, it might be me clenching my jaw while writing them).

Hm...good question. That would either ben when he learns she's already watching HM Christmas movies in early September...or when she has a negative interaction with her dad that causes her to accept an award she didn't want.

Of course, this means I should probably get WRITING again so that I can release book 2 in #DarkSkyValley in March '26 like I've said I would.

Last year after I started at the eye place, I pretty much backed off the ASC next door to it b/c it was surgery for EVERYTHING and I just didn't like it as much. So I backed off & stopped asking about FT.

Turns out that was a good thing. I saw today that ASC is closed for business.

I remember that episode. History has long taught us that that would be pretty impossible to say...I only hope our future is bright enough for our descendants to say it.

Watching Voyager episode Nemesis...and after being brainwashed by some pretty intense propaganda, Chakotay's last line really sums shit up right now...

"I wish it were as easy to stop hating as it was to start."

First assignment in my capstone project has been turned in. Now I wait for approval for the project and I can continue on.

Man, I came back from conference ENERGIZED. I'm getting stuff DONE.

My first night home after conference & I swore I had a lab appointment this morning. I struggled getting to sleep...and therefore did NOT like my alarm. Arrived in plenty of time for my appointment...only to learn it's TOMORROW. ~headdesk~

I got a brand new sweater. Today is my first time wearing it. I stuck my hand in my pocket and the pocket CAME OFF.

I am...but I work in healthcare...flu shots are kinda necessary...and now it's looking like I can't do them any longer.

In a bit of 'well, shit' news...I am 95% sure I had an allergic reaction to this years flu shot. *whomp whomp*

Making bread & jam sounds like the best endeavor. I will have to do that in a couple of weeks (when I'm not prepping for conference or at conference). Or maybe I'll slip that in this weekend, because fresh bread w/ fresh jam sounds amaze-balls.

ALL of that stress and panic...and it was 100% fine the entire time. ~headdesk~
