Making another laid back attempt at writing today. My wrist is still really painful, but I've found a halfway comfortable position for now. Not trying to rush or #writing super fast. Jut nice and easy for now.

I deleted my entire account...don't plan on going back. One thing I miss is the sprint option for my writing...but I'll live with my minute timer instead.

I have to go back to work tomorrow & I haven't decided if I'm going to keep the job or not. And with the change in insurances, it's not a great time to be getting the testing done for a bleph, but if I qualify I want my doc to do it before she moves back to CA.

I could totally see those skulls and stains being part of a gruesome photo shoot in miniature. Love it.

The end of this chapter is going to see a big change from the original material, that should be enough to wake the snoring muse. *pokes her again*

It's official! I'm now an ER nurse!!

I'll start in a couple of week. I was told I'd need a 2nd interview, but instead they called w/ an offer! Higher pay, sign on bonus, and insurance.

Added bonus, by dropping insurance through hubs work, they're also giving him a pay bump as a thanks!

1 yr & almost 3 months...and I still expect my mom to react and/or comment on my FB posts.

That is a LOT of phone time. Like. A lot. I'm mad impressed, I'd be twitching in a ball.

OK. It wasn't 3 hours...but it was the interview, a peer interview, and about 30 minutes shadowing and interacting with staff.

Looks like it's going to be a good fit on both sides. It is no longer DOS based (same charting system, no longer DOS).

One more interview, then offer.

About to head out to my 3 hour interview (interview + shadowing). Remembered last night that the last time I went to his hospital system for clinicals they were using DOS based charting...so, that's fun.

It was the best call for you to make. You can't be a good support for someone else when you are in the depths of it. Take care of yourself first, so that later you can return to yes with strength and joy.

LOL. Right? I wouldn't mind so much, but they are so itchy!!

Apparently I had company in bed. 8-legged company. 2 spider bites on my arm...at least the tattoos hide them, if they don't stop the itching. ouchie itchie

Phase 2 of interview for an ED position is Wednesday. Learned I'm interviewing for a 9a-9p shift, which I love (1p-1a would be better, but at least it's not 7a). Also learned the interview in house is 3 hours of shadowing and I need scrubs to do it.

*cue me searching scrub stores*

Yes it is! I'm excited to get back, but I definitely want to be sure I'm not injuring myself further when I do.

It's the good stuff. ;) Highly addictive, too.

WAIT. Another state w/ non-resident cards?? Must go look this one up!

(If you want another w/ a HUGE online library database of ebook & audiobooks, Fairfax County Library is good. They're $50 for a year...but if you buy 3 years, it's $100, which is about $33/yr.)

I took a week off from #writing to give my wrist a break. Every time I think it's doing better, it twinges. Busy week, but going to try to get some slower words in. I guess 300k in 3 months was too much for the wrists.

LOL. It doesn't help that I read across MANY genres...so it's not just 'what book', it's 'what genre' and 'series or standalone'. Impossible choices. I'm not in the mood for my unfinished book...so I've pulled 2 & will see which catches me first.

My bookshelves are overflowing. How do I pick my next read? ~staring at shelves hoping something sparks~

I started Sunrise on the Reaping in May of last year. MAY. I put it aside for a while and would just come back to it & read a chapter now & then.

I'm finally on target to finish by tomorrow. It's not that it isn't good, it is. It was just too much w/...~gestures everywhere~

Hit the button to put my computer to sleep (Didn't realize it was only 7P)...and when I tried to wake it up, it wouldn't wake up.

It SHUT OFF. I didn't shut it off, I snoozed it. I mean....WTF?

In previous years, we'd get a call from the company coming to do the repair to schedule directly with us. Now AI does it and never reaches out to me.
