It doesn't make sense to not listen to marginalized groups and then try to appeal to their morality. "Oh but if you dont vote for my platform that doesnt include you then I will suffer." Ppl who didn't care when it was someone else dont get to play the morality card.

Tired of hearing "it is not a race or gender war but a class war." It is all of the above. No one said it had to be either/or. The people saying that only care about class because it is the only part they think affects THEM.

Fascism always attacks women, minorities, LGBTQ, disabled ppl. Yet the solution is for us to "forget about identity" & unify with enablers who will not reflect? Just so it won't affect YOU. A critique of labor unions decades ago in the US is that they mainly benefited white men. If we focus only on a "class war" mostly white men get more $ in a better economy and women are still made more dependent on men. All while we have social media saying to put us in our place. I do not know how to get people to understand the concept of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Unless more people stop saying "a woman cant win," a woman will never win. It is demoralizing and does more damage to sway public opinion than any blatant misogynist can ever do. Stop manifesting their world.

You are just missing the point and doubling down. I SEE it. I am not going to give a racist influence over my opinions and try to convince others not to. It takes time to change public opinion. Saying "I told you so" just reinforces that opinion. Does nothing. Makes it worse. So it IS racist.

GOP wanted Talarico to win because they know how to defeat him. They are used to running against a moderate Christian white guy. Texans are being manipulated way too easily. Crockett would have energized voters more and I doubt Talarico will win in November.

Other white southerners, a lesson too late: if Billy Bob says "I will never vote for a black woman" and 5 people hear that and say "white men won't vote for a woman. She cant win" and vote for the white guy, the FIVE PEOPLE are the reason she lost. Why are you voting based on Billy Bob, the racist?

I am tired of living in a world determined by naysayers. If "they cant, we cant" is your reason for voting, you aren't envisioning a better world. Which is why we will end up with the same hellscape we have now.

I frankly dont care about a difference of opinion. I need people to understand that if 1 racist guy says that and 5 people say "well she cant win" and then vote for the white guy, the 5 PEOPLE are the reason she lost and basing their votes on a racist. Therefore it is racist.

I didn't say people shouldn't vote but there are definitely a lot of people, especially young people, who dont show up because moderates are not proposing what they want. I am saying it is better to win them than try winning MAGA. Which is what Talarico is doing.

My main issue: majority of white people always say we need to win over MAGA. Better policies would help everyone, but centering to include MAGA's wishes helps white people more. Which is what MAGA wants. We could win without MAGA votes if candidates were progressive enough to win ppl who dont vote.

We dont need to win over and sing kumbaya with MAGA. We need the people who have been sitting on the sidelines because no candidate is perfect to actually f*cking show up to vote.

I think Joe Biden did a pretty good job considering the disaster he inherited. Talarico is not that progressive, so unless he's going to ban grocery stores from price gouging or something, I don't want to hear the "trying to win moderates" playbook recited. I voted for Crockett yesterday.

We HAVE to win the midterms and push dems to break up monopolies, especially in the media and tech. WB acquisition is practically state controlled media.

The Texas GOP provides ballot information that is way easier to access and read (they have a better website), so i literally use their info to vote against them 😆 Seriously the TX dem party needs a better website though.

Texas primary senate race: At first, I was more drawn to Crockett, then it seemed to me like Talarico was the better speaker overall...But a good point was made that he is more likely to lean moderate once in office. Crockett has already proven she will fight in Congress. So my mind is made up.

That said the US is dealing with the same thing. I am not denying that. And our gov isnt even doing anything about it but someone will someday soon. I just hate the monarchy and really anyone with too much money and power.

People: *act surprised when royals who are told they are better than everyone else due to bloodline are narcissists and generally evil people.* I'm sorry, but duh. They spend loads of money on PR designed to make you sentimental about them, but they're a useless institution.

I wrote them a letter blasting their morals so I hope that contributed.
