Something about Talarico and calls for unity feel insincere. It is a tactic to win, but accomplishes nothing to fix this mess. "Oh we need to help the white blue collar MAGA who screwed everyone else." Why them first? What about everyone else who has been fighting the whole time?

My main issue: majority of white people always say we need to win over MAGA. Better policies would help everyone, but centering to include MAGA's wishes helps white people more. Which is what MAGA wants. We could win without MAGA votes if candidates were progressive enough to win ppl who dont vote.

My new hobby is telling mansplainers "well no you just think your feelings are fact." Fragile men love being called emotional. 😆 But seriously, I am over it. Imply I'm stupid and I'll imply you're overly emotional. Anyone who knows me knows I am a quite objective person who looks at facts.

Do not say it is because Talarico is the only one who can win. Mansplainer just told me the poll where Crockett has better odds was fake news paid for by Republicans and asked me "are you new to politics?" Lol. Just say "I am a white guy who likes white male moderates." You can just say that.

We dont need to win over and sing kumbaya with MAGA. We need the people who have been sitting on the sidelines because no candidate is perfect to actually f*cking show up to vote.

I think Joe Biden did a pretty good job considering the disaster he inherited. Talarico is not that progressive, so unless he's going to ban grocery stores from price gouging or something, I don't want to hear the "trying to win moderates" playbook recited. I voted for Crockett yesterday.

We HAVE to win the midterms and push dems to break up monopolies, especially in the media and tech. WB acquisition is practically state controlled media.

The Texas GOP provides ballot information that is way easier to access and read (they have a better website), so i literally use their info to vote against them 😆 Seriously the TX dem party needs a better website though.

Texas primary senate race: At first, I was more drawn to Crockett, then it seemed to me like Talarico was the better speaker overall...But a good point was made that he is more likely to lean moderate once in office. Crockett has already proven she will fight in Congress. So my mind is made up.

That said the US is dealing with the same thing. I am not denying that. And our gov isnt even doing anything about it but someone will someday soon. I just hate the monarchy and really anyone with too much money and power.

One of the reasons we are losing our rights in America and much of the world is overconsumption. We have no community, are lonely, have no time for hobbies due to too many hours at work. We try to fill the void by buying crap. Then, that money goes to the same companies ruining our society.

The overconsumption keeps giving money to big corporations who are funding ICE and the federal government. The distraction keeps us from organizing. Bread and circuses, my friends. We need to wake everyone the fuck up. If it is not food, healthcare, or utilities, dont buy it. Delete Meta. Let's go.

We are also flooded with horrible news, too much for one person to process, so we distract ourselves with stupid videos and remain in denial. The only way to break this cycle is to rebuild our communities, engage in meaningful hobbies, STOP BUYING CRAP YOU DON'T NEED, and boot current politicians.

That said, there are definitely Italian Americans who are for fascism. I mean, Italy had Mussolini and is currently on a right-wing swing again. But I do think that people having ties to more cultural roots would lessen the number of people who join these fanatic religious nationalist groups
