If you strip away the egos and shitposting, the Trump-Musk feud is really an argument over how comprehensively to screw over poor and working peopleβover how best to make our society a meaner, crueler, less equal, more savage place.
New piece from me:

Graphic featuring Senator Cory Booker with overlaying text that states: βI rise with the intention of disrupting the normal business of the U.S. Senate for as long as I am physically able. Our constituents are asking us to acknowledge that this is a crisis. I am going to stand here until I no longer can.β Senator Cory Booker
16 hours and counting.

21.02.2025 03:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fair enough! I would be pretty surprised (not disappointed) if any near-term government administration described itself as thus though. But hopefully we can at least align closer in the next administration (assuming we get there!!!). All the best
21.02.2025 03:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Understood, thanks for the civil discourse! Hope we can align in the next dem/progressive administration.
21.02.2025 03:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'll definitely check that book out (thanks!) but to me it's always seemed to come down to the fact that lying is a very effective marketing strategy? Hard to compete with the truth/principles. I don't want dems to abandon being principled though? Wish we could raise education standards.
21.02.2025 03:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not to put you on the spot but I can't even think of 'cheat' options at this point!? "[t]he law" that they disregard whenever convenient, SMH... There's a level to which I don't think we CAN stoop if we're fundamentally principled (which I think we are)? Two different games but everything at stake..
21.02.2025 03:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I haven't seen any AOC/Bernie's speeches on mainstream media either though? It'd be great if they could draw crowds, but I don't have confidence mainstream media would cover it fairly still. Definitely some lacking media-savvy though, I hate that's necessary for effective representation these days!
21.02.2025 02:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I understand the frustration and the anger (same!) but I genuinely am trying to understand what they could do as the minority within the bounds of the constitution/law to resist? It feels hopeless other than protest (which is what it seems they are doing to me?).
21.02.2025 02:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So AOC is focused on immigration at the expense of the FBI? (not sarcastic just asking if that's your understanding). Love AOC and see her on socials all the time but considering the average social usage of the electorate I'm not sure it's actually the most impactful medium? Any results from her?
21.02.2025 02:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But what has anyone younger done so far? I am a big fan of AOC but I don't know of any discrete steps she has taken that these older folks haven't also done? To me it's just about being essentially 'powerless' in the minority (tragically)?
21.02.2025 02:41 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As opposed to a bullhorn or what? Visual marketing requires a place to stick a sign it seems to me?
21.02.2025 02:39 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0After following you for awhile, you really seem to have a problem with their ages. I definitely understand the concern but I'm interested if you have any discrete suggestions for younger representatives other than 'be young'? In regards to effectiveness.
21.02.2025 02:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Compared to Kash Patel? Yes, I think every one of them?
21.02.2025 02:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So then... why aren't they?
21.02.2025 02:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Genuine question, are there any discrete steps you can think of that they can do other than 'stand around' and protest?
