And I've obviously been saying this a lot lately, but BDS does not expect anyone to drop everything made by Microsoft all at once. They pick very specific targets in order to get as wide a coalition as possible, and in the case of Xbox, even suggest different tiers of engagement.

I recently did video verification for yt again but I felt really uncomfortable about it because of the id stuff coming. I don't want to leave yt as a viewer but as a creator I want to leave. Should I:

i have the voice actor and singer labelers from creatorlabler, but ive done neither. i want to change that, but not by taking those labels off. im going to try to find some free voice acting projects from other small creators. while id love to do paid, id have to explain where the

i previously mentioned neptune, but they require an id to livestream, so im not too thrilled with that. speaking of other platforms, i am on tumblr but never use it, so consider it a bluesky backup in case this gets hacked (though if it did id probably tell you through my second bsky account twolab)

other platforms:

i am unsure if i will jump ship from youtube because of the id stuff, because i already gave them my face for the advanced features, so if i left it would be out of solidarity for those who dont want to give their identity away. in terms of an alternative, i am looking at vanillo.

so that i have a higher chance of getting something recorded while theyre gone. this is part of why i think commentary might be better, because i would spend less time actually recording the video and more time doing less disruptive things, like writing the script for the video.

the situation im in:

i am in all likelihood going back to the college ive been going to for three semesters. there is a small chance i am not, but if this occurs i will make another update. i will have a roommate. this will mean that i will probably not livestream, and make shorter recordings,

at the very least id have to edit down like two hours of footage into a 20 minute video, compared to lightly editing a 20 minute commentary video. i am leaning towards commentary due to the situation im in, but i also like gaming so id like some input on what you would want.

so in other words, more preplanning and less effort put in after the recording. you dont go to commentary videos for the stellar editing, you know? gaming videos (at least the way i would do it) would involve little to no preplanning (unless im doing a challenge or something) and a lot more editing.

genre decision making:

i need to decide whether i become more of a commentary youtuber or a gaming youtuber. commentary on stuff like internet "drama" (which i dont even like saying cause the "drama" is usually serious allegations) requires more effort in research and scripts than editing,
