Today, I announced major federal investment that I secured for the rebuild of the Yerba Buena Bridge in South San Jose. The funds will go towards shoring up the structural safety of the Bridge and making sure that critical public infrastructure is meeting the needs of the community.

I appreciate the opportunity to tour a local safety and parking enhancement project and proud to get the federal government to play a part in its funding. I remain committed to enhancing our regional infrastructure, and I’m happy to see this new and powerful resource for our community.

I voted yes on the War Powers Resolution which would have mandated Congressional authorization for any further conflict in Iran. Although the resolution failed, I support 2 other resolutions so Congress can have the necessary debate over any further military involvement in Iran.

That’s why Congress is pushing for commonsense law enforcement protocols and training for ICE and CBP agents, and bipartisan immigration reform that secures the border, strengthens asylum, legalizes Dreamers, and protects law-abiding immigrants who contribute so much to CA-19.

With Stephen Miller still driving policy at DHS, we must continue to hold this Administration accountable.
