Anthem plans to put time limits on anesthesia coverage, alarming doctors and patients Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield says it will put time limits on anesthesia care starting next year. Doctors and elected officials, including in New York and Connecticut, are asking it to change course.

Help me understand this policy that #Anthem #BCBS is making for anesthesia billing? Basically, if a surgery runs longer than THEY think it should, they just stop paying??

The remaining bill just goes to the patient! What happened to the No Surprises Act??

Maybe just a question in general but what’s the status of Cryoneurolysis? Who’s doing this in their practice?

Eg:
Geniculate nerves for TKA
Suprascapular n for shoulder
Amputation pain
Intercostal nerves for thoracic surgery

I think many of those numbers were low yield. The other site was really awesome when there was a tight knit community on it.

I will be leaving for the #ASRA fall meeting in Las Vegas tomorrow. This meeting focuses on chronic pain, but what things related to #RASky should I keep an eye out for? What about peripheral nerve stim for acute pain?
