Good advice for writing fiction: "If We ever abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten, We replace it with a better or similar one." (Qur'an 2:106).

Reminds fiction writers that we can break promises made to readers and expectations set up, but only if we give the reader something better.

Just read "The Devil's Library" by Joachim Glage. The stories seem to contribute to a single idea: the Devil "writes in the dark," ie God has given the Devil leave to influence half of all writing, including scripture. Great for Borges fans.
