In 2013 I went to India for a few weeks with a Contax G2. On a whim last night I threw some of my old TIFFs into Resolve, and oh boy, I've gotten a LOT better at colour correcting scans these days.

Last night in Taipei. Wandering around Breeze Nanshan, blowing my remaining NTD on an expensive meal, sleep in a capsule hotel, then home. Thanks Taiwan!

This place served the best lunchbox I had in Taiwan. Thanks to that one guy with a blog who is basically the main source for all English-language travel advice. After this, a mad dash back to Taipei after all my transport got cancelled because of another land warning.

I nearly didn't walk this trail because it was too spooky. This was late afternoon but the clouds had just rolled in and covered the town.

Sometimes I just loved the way they named things in English in Taiwan. This is The Heart of Love River.

Kaohsiung, however, was my favourite place. Loved this city.

I did not take a single picture the whole time I was in Kenting. Either because Kenting wasn't my favourite place or because I was sat on the beach drinking, take your pick.

Chishang felt weirdly similar to Redcliffs / Mildura in Australia, another tiny little farming town I went to years ago. I guess it's just a small community surrounded by miles and miles of rice (or grapes).

Takeshi Kaneshiro Tree. There are many similarly picturesque trees nearby, but this one has a bench with a little brass kettle so you can sit and pretend to drink tea (like Takeshi Kaneshiro).

I sat and watched this person walk all the way down Paradise Road, and got a little photographer's shiver of excitement when I realised they were going to cross through the bit of grey negative space in the road like that. Not that it's like mind-blowing or anything, but it just really ties the picture together.

The area around Chishang is a pretty chill place to ride a bike around early in the morning. You can see such sights as A Tree That Was In An Advert, and A Coffee Mascot (but seriously this place was gorgeous).

Heading into the Eastern Rift Valley. Enjoyed the way that sounds.

Right behind me as I took this photo are two MASSIVE hotels. Wai'ao seemed like such a small, chill surfing community I can't imagine that those hotels are filling up, even in summer. Maybe they're left over from the mainland tourism boom? But they were still open and staffed and totally dead. I went and had some good pizza and a beer in this massive dining room with no-one else in it.

And this was the moment I decided that actually I don't need to ride the full coastal loop with the rain whipping into my face, therefore I turned around and got back in the tunnel.

This was such a cool thing. The Old Caoling Tunnel is a 5km passage cut through the hills near Fulong. They've turned it into a bike path so you can just go bombing through it. Very surreal, very fun.
