I think it makes no sense to buy a hybrid. You're paying for two independent drive systems when pure EV does the job very well, with easily enough range.

With batteries now much cheaper, EV range is no longer a problem.

It makes little sense to install two drive systems in a car, making it significantly heavier and less efficient.

Right direction but woefully slow. 23 million homes in the UK are heated by fossil fuels. At this rate, the conversion would take 184 years.

This should be done at emergency pace.

We’re also making it worse with every new home built with a gas boiler.

UK Gov should now abandon its disastrous carbon capture plans, centred around building 𝗡𝗘𝗪 gas power stations fed largely by importing Trump’s #LNG which is disastrous for the climate.

We’d be energy independent but it would need courage to go against Big Oil.
