Thanks, Scott! These smart telescopes are getting so small, and easy.

Thanks. It was in alt-az mode, and I used the built-in AI de-noise feature. I always adjust the black point, and sharpness on the Photos app (iPhone or iPad). For the most part, I sat in a chair and enjoyed the beautiful, dark sky while the S30 and S50 did all the work.

Bummer. Sorry! We have a lot of vog from all the volcanic activity, but I’m hoping that will just make the Moon extra-red.

Don’t miss the Total Lunar Eclipse next week,Hawaii. You can see maximum eclipse without staying up late, and you probably won’t even have to wear a sweater.

This looks like the opening scene of a movie. …needs a theme song. Lovely.

Whistler is beautiful. Maybe you will get to see Aurora!

Beautiful! Seeing aurora is the last thing on my astronomical bucket list. I’ve seen lunar and solar eclipses - total, partial and annular. I’ve seen the Transit of Venus, Transit of Mercury, Milky Way Galaxy, and Zodiacal Light. The Aurora has always eluded me, though. #Aurora #Astronomy

Tonight we set up telescopes at the local high school dance, where the kids danced under the stars. Lots of students came over to enjoy the view through various telescopes- refractors, reflectors, Dobsonians, Schmidt Cassegrains and three smart scopes; Seestar S30 and S50, as a Unistellar. #Hawaii

In other news, the little Seestar S30 performs beautifully. Here is M42, the Orion Nebula. 16 minute exposure. #OrionNebula #SeestarS30 #Hawaii

I heard that this is happening. Apparently if you unfollow, they they will re-enlist you in about four hours. This is pathetic. I guess I’ll quit Instagram.

I just received my Seestar S30 a few days ago, and it’s been cloudy, but check out the whale breach I recorded with it yesterday. I love this little telescope already.

Yesterday I took my little Seestar S30 smart telescope to Waikoloa Beach and filmed this whale breaching. The dual lens system (wide- field and zoom), as well as auto focus and auto-tracking make finding and imaging so much easier. #SeestarS30 #Seestar #ZWO #Whale #SmartTelescope #Hawaii #Waikoloa

Thanks for the heads-up, David. If the Seestar S30 arrives by then, it should catch all three. The fov of the main camera on the S30 is 2.46Β° and the separation of the Moon and Venus is 2.38Β°, one hour after sunset in California. This would work for all mainland USA, but not Hawaii.
