Unfortunately there are many many racists in Israel who hate all Arabs (probably natural after such long states of war, as many Arabs hate all Jews)

2. Home must contain a room with heavy thick reinforced concrete and the window must have closable steel barricade

3. Most settlers are non ideologues who couldn't afford a home elsewhere

Shelters in homes don't generally face that question. Afaik the law requires letting anyone in your home for that purpose if requested. But people don't generally find themselves in that situation in the 90 seconds after a missile siren

There are shelter rooms in every home built by the construction standard in Israel since Israeli civilians have been targeted by missile strikes for decades

There are public shelters that let everyone in of course

I'm not claiming the economic shutdown isn't destructive, of course it very much is

I'm saying the physical damage by these missiles, especially the cluster munitions, is relatively low

Afaik in Israel these damages are insured by the state

It's assembling its own drones but still relying on key components from Iran, as I understand it

Wouldn't it be proportional to the amount of economic damage caused?

I have no idea how much it is but I'd estimate a few hundred million dollars(?) which is probably much less than the direct military cost of the war or the cost of the economic shutdown

As an Israeli these cluster munitions are far less intimidating because almost all of us have shelters. Shelters are 100% safe against these small munitions

They are not 100% safe against one huge warhead hitting the building

Both of these are true but:

The US no longer supplies much to Ukraine.

Europe provides the funds and most munitions are actually made by Ukraine itself

While the economic effects of this war might benefit Russia, the loss of the Iranian regime as a provider of critical shahed parts can hurt

If the party is too centrist it's because not enough progressives are participating in the primaries
