At Kidderminster Harriers, who are managed by Phil Brown. A lot of astros around. Not many suede shoes.

Had they played the game at the same level as minutes 35-45, they would have had a good chance. But yeah they're really not at the required level. Still, one of those weird games where I'm left disappointed by the winning team
23.11.2024 14:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Leicester put in a 7.5/10 performance today and they probably win...
23.11.2024 14:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Both teams have been poor today. Leicester have barely shown up and I'd argue Maresca's dtrange 3-1-5-1 formation just hasn't worked. Chelsea are winning because they have better players - but they've been well below their best.
23.11.2024 14:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Ankle-breaker from Ndidi. VAR relaly should have turned that into a red card.
23.11.2024 12:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Terrible defending from Leicester for that goal. Hermansen kicking it long from a GK, after calling his CBs short, is what plays Jackson onside when the ball comes back... dreadful all round.
23.11.2024 12:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Never normally do the whole βspoke well I thoughtβ about new managers, mostly because @footballcliches.bsky.social lives rent free, but this Amorim interview is genuinely noteworthy.
Shades of early Klopp in his openness and clarity describing his ideas.

Hey Phillipe can I get added to this? Thanks
12.11.2024 09:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The most impressive thing about Foden last night wasnβt the goals, but the way he solved Villaβs formation in the second half. Tactical analysis of his movement here:

How Villa produced one of the great Premier League wins www.premierleague.com/news/3811880
I think thatβs the most Iβve ever seen a Guardiola team dominated over 45 minutes. Exceptional from Aston Villa. A fraction better in the box and they could be 3-0 up.

Villa considerably better in the second half in a 4231 with Tielemans providing the between-the-lines passing option I was talking about. Gave Villa a foothold - and then he provided the assist for the equaliser in that inside-right position
26.11.2023 16:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Worse still, Konsa and Cash donβt seem to know when to get tight to Gil or who is supposed to track Udogie. Emery needs to get Carlos off and Ramsey or Tielemans on and swap it around
26.11.2023 14:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Normally Kamara would be to the right of a back three, too, so basically Villa have lost two technical players from their usual build-up play
26.11.2023 14:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Emery has got his team selection all wrong here. Ball getting stuck at Konsa and Cash, who canβt build out between them. Villa need another CM in that right mid slot to come infield. Without that, Villa cannot pass forward and Spurs find it too easy to funnel Villa into a dead end around Konsa.
26.11.2023 14:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Villaβs away form is a (slight) issue for Emery this season, with 7 points won from 6 games. Hereβs me on why that is, for the Premier League site π
