Earlier today i say aomeone arguenthat authoritarianism doesnt exist, and now i see someone argue that liberalism is totalitarian.

1) have you heard of conservatives?
2) there have been plently of working class liberals.
3) liberals have enacted reforms that have helped the working class.

This is the correct framing. These reactionaries have internalized a world view where the only answer to unrepentant war criminals - who genuinely are a problem - was to be "hard" & ruthless enough to do war crimes right back.

The thing that these expressions of wrath from the GOP reveal is that in their own minds, all claims to the contrary aside, they believe they are at war not with a state but a people. That war is a contest of collective national will, & therefore atrocities are (to them) tools to break that will.

Thanks for that information, but my loss of respect for him began when he started to say that Trump's Ukraine policies were better than were Biden's. He's just an anti-Democrat activist anymore, not as bad as Noam Chomsky but approaching that class sadly.
