For sure. They could at least keep it for the flagship kits, but I suspect it would please the bean counters more to part them out and sell extras via P-Bandai...

+1 to the shortcomings of this kit that you mentioned. In my case, it was a gift (I love the Zeta design, but would've gotten the Ver. Ka instead). The display base is one of the best parts of this particular kit, 100%.

But now the MG Mk-2 is on the way, since they have to match...

The launch catapult base that it's attached to is included with the MG Zeta 2.0 kit. Its sister kit (the MG Mk II) also comes with a base that connects to it as well!
