Spotted some novice e-bike parking in my office bike room this morning #bikedc

DC DPW won't ticket cars in the bike lane because there's snow in the parking spots. There's snow in the parking spots because DPW can't clear it when cars park next to it. Catch 22 until warmer weather, and drivers still scream / honk for not using the (non-existent) bike lane #bikedc

One of my biggest pet peeves on P St just west of Logan Circle

Had a strange brain-blank earlier where I was thinking of "Chipotle" but the only name I could recall in the moment was "Boloco", ie the Boston-based burrito chain that left DC in 2014. Side note: just looked them up and they're back to a single location in Boston, down from a peak of 22 in 2014.

Might be an unpopular opinion with #bikedc folks but I don't think these "bikes" have any business in an office building's crowded bike room. eBikes? Sure, but not this monstrosity. The cranks are tiny!

Glad to hear that E* lives on! This news reminded me that the LNE v1.0 spec + test procedure was published 10 years ago this month. It was the first major "start to finish" project of my consulting career and features arguably my most effective PowerPoint diagram designs

The demolished WH east wing continues to be trucked away

Today Virginia resident Sophia Maltas was sentenced to 45 days in jail for hitting and killing 24-year-old Nina Larson as she was crossing Columbia Road NW in a crosswalk in November 2021. The sentencing hearing was emotionally wrenching and difficult.

I've watched each morning as the White House destruction progressed. Truly heartbreaking to witness.
