I still stand by Aethy being one of the safest places to be when it comes to art and being queer. Yes, they will take in account what you do off site but that is only if you are harassing people. Just dont harass anyone and you're good to go. Its to keep everyone on the instance safe.

Yea, basically 😮‍💨 it's an at root issue. The only sites I've seen that don't have the AI issue, and have an anti-AI stance, is Aethy and Pillowfort. Mastodon, I think, depends and I'm not sure there.

For business, your stuck on shit platforms either way. Even then, Bluesky don't bring in numbers rn.

I've met the most mature people there because creative and sexual expression is very encouraged (yes, including art and fiction that are deemed "problematic") while also being strict against nazi, anti, and pro-C bs there.

Reminder that the person in the picture is spreading false information as I known 2 people who was a victim of stalkers on aethy who are protected, the mods/admins take that very seriously.

Also a ton of people who hate aethy tend to like to make shit up a lot to make themselves look innocent btw.

It is important to note that this happened before a complete shutdown of the instance, as well as a change in ownership.

It is terrible behavior, but not reflective of the current moderators.

Aethy has recently gotten a change in staff and has a new owner now. I wasn't aware that the old owner did such a thing and I am sorry. So far the new owner is level headed and actual cares about community and keeping its users safe.
