For spooky season we've been watching buffy the vampire slayer for the first time and man, what an electric show. Kaitlyn and I are obsessed. We're most the way through season 3 and I think there's yet to be an episode I hate.

A completely made-up quickly fabricated movie poster for Star Trek III. Love seeing all of my horror games dev friends getting into it and strutting their stuff for spooky season, I am a big scaredy cat coward who cannot play your wonderfully horrifying looking games, but I am cheering you all on ravenously from the sidelines

An important part of game development is being open to iterating, like adjusting the layout of a town when testing shows that players get confused with where things are. Sometimes, this means a scene can change over ten times- like our town of Krkanov has!

Thats enough rambling. If you read all that shit, I'm sorry. If you're on the fence about kingdom hearts I'd say it's worth blitzing through the game on easy mode just for the experience. Though. Shout out to @khguides.com that person is a legend. They have one of the coolest looking websites I've seen in the modern day and their videos give information extremely efficiently. If you ever make a game that's complex enough for video guides, look there for inspiration.

You enter that room a miniboss will appear. You can't damage him with weapons or spells, he will drop the item you seek. Cool, how did you find that out? Sheer determination?

Jrpgs, but there were so many times something was dangled in front of me; like Item recipes for instance, that I found no in Game way to know how to locate ingredients for. You look up a guide on Reddit and its like: go to this out of the way area you have no reason to return to, 1 in 10 times

If I recall it's more later entries that go balls to the wall. First one is approachable enough, but I felt a tension there.

I think the games has a huge issue arming the player to engage with alot of the side content as well. Maybe that's a genre staple as I said I'm a little inexperienced with-

I do think the game has problems. In the story department keenly, but I think there's still alot to like in that field. I think it's just insanely obtuse and I have to wonder how much of that comes from cultural / translation issues from Japan. I could still follow it throughout tho.

It in 2002. I was playing Final Fantasy 15 a couple years ago and looking back it's kind of hilarious how much of it's DNA is within weird how-did-this-get-made Disney Squaresoft crossover. What an amazing entry into gaming babylon.
