Funny you mention this, I just got my poke at an indie. They have walk in and short wait times. They gave me a form to fill out, a list of the "acceptable" risk factors which I marked "no" all the way down and then ignored it and gave me my shot. I need to visit sick and dying relatives this winter.

A blessing and a curse. If we could just prioritise actually accomplishing a thing we might end up in the right spot. But the accomplishing needs to be #1 and it's just weirdly not top of agenda for our officials. Achieving the other goals should be important, but secondary.

Don't get me wrong, I love it here, it's just the people who chose to run for office. A city frozen in bureaucratic amber.

I'm in Portland and I can say it would be a decade of simply deciding what kind of asphalt is most ethically sourced, then another 5 years choosing the company with the least cis white males working for it, preferably using solar powered electric equipment that won't even exist for another 20yrs.

Still worth checking just to be sure. Just saunter in and ask the person at the counter (in the most obnoxious American accent) what the specials are today. 🍽️
