The sun from the show Teletubbies, which infamously (horrifyingly) had the face of a moving, laughing baby overlaid onto it. But also this was probably the best metaphor we ever had for beings above our own perception and existence.

Screen grab of a YouTube video for Ladytron β€œdestroy everything you touch.”
This particular still from the video shows a face covered in snow /white powder. A large eye on the face is open, has long lashes ,and appears to be looking at the camera.

January through March are lean times for everyone, and the week’s Art Snack has way too many restaurant closings. But we’ve also got some some silver linings in building buying and the promise Portland’s World Naked Bike Ride in August. πŸŽ¨β¬‡οΈ

A person in an orange vest hugs a dog at an Olympic snow event. The dog (appears to be Husky breed) has her head turned up, attempting to lick face. Someone else in a knee-length padded parka bends down to pet the dog. Behind them we see a fence to keep competition area clear of crowds with various people behind it.

Film Review: Emerald Fennell Has Made the Least Fucked-up Version of Wuthering Heights No amount of blood and puke can cover this romance.

The new "Wuthering Heights" movie is way less fucked up than the novel it's based on. Granted, there's a public execution (not in the book), a gristly hog butchering (not in the book), and so much blood everywhere (actually, that’s in the book).
But it really could have been so much worse.

Book Review: For Human Use Isn't Really About Dating Corpses For Human Use is about dating, with a side of social norm collapse.

For Human Use, the debut novel by Sarah G. Pierce, is both about and not about a dating app for dead bodies. It’s gory satire andΒ wry speculation on dating and the tech industry with a side of societal collapse. πŸ“š
