That US health outcomes align with a system of societal inequity and lack of universal health care coverage such that scientific breakthroughs only reach some people-AND we’re now not allowed to talk about or study the way to bridge the gaps (implementation science) to the groups who are left out

Someone needed to say this. As one of the authors of the public health statement he misused a quote from, I’m disgusted that this was published as an appropriate critique on the NIH. Should the NIH undergo reforms? Yes. can we discuss (one of the many) elephants?
