Finished my first week at the new job in development and communications for the Veterans Village of San Diego.

I've helped prepare food to hand out to families in need, marched in the Veterans Day parade, and met the therapy dogs. So excited to continue supporting this amazing community.

Next week we're expecting the owner of a local grocery store to get deported at his immigration hearing. Last month ICE took one parent of a 5 year old, and the next month they took the other parent. This is in Encinitas, CA
