I played Silent Hill f sooner than expected out of mere convenience.

I like Silent Hill, bought it early to support such games, and it was Horroctober.

Not only did I end up loving the game, but it was unintentional prep work to appreciate my visit to Kyoto. #videogames

I love when trophies in games are obtained organically.

On my second playthrough of Silent Hill f, without spoiling it, I made a deliberate choice to avoid doing a thing without the game explicitly giving me the option to do it. I was later rewarded with an in-game cutscene and trophy.#videogames

It took them 14 innings, but they finally found him.

Dreading this one on my second playthrough of Silent Hill f.

The design is so off-putting in the best way.

Silent Hill f New Game Plus immediately makes it more worthwhile than tradition NG+ implementations.

I love Silent Hill f and am quite close to wrapping it up. Based on how confused I am despite nearing its end, I expect replaying it will yield more answers.

But man, I felt the combat frequency could be dialed down a bit. Like SH2R, by the last act I was mentally done with all the fighting.

Silent Hill f is heavy.

Just got to this point in the game last night and had to sit through all rituals despite being 4AM.

No idea what’s happening in this game, but fully hooked.

Last night I read a cryptic message on his FB that confused me, until the news today.

Ninja Gaiden on Xbox was one of the best games of 2004. I was just wearing the worn-out t-shirt of the original Ninja Gaiden that came with the game, and had been playing NG:Black just a few months ago.

I can tell you from experience it’s a pain in the ass to have ambient NPCs in the world, having them behave realistically on their own, and react appropriately to events caused by the game’s systems and the player’s breath of actions while minimizing their looking silly and breaking immersion.

It’s known design limitations create boundaries where designers can generate ideas. A famous example is the first Metal Gear on MSX, where it turned into a stealth game in part due to hardware limitations.

Curious if the ideas for Death Stranding came in part because of development limitations.

In Death Stranding, there is a narrative reason why the player never meets friendly NPCs in-game, but only through terminals where NPCs are static and cannot be “messed with.” There is likely a development choice to avoid coding AI for ambient NPCs. #gamedev #videogames

“Supports Trump” is a stretch.

She will support whomever the US president is, because she wants an ally in the United States. Her goal is to free the people of Venezuela from Maduro’s dictatorship.

Unfortunately Trump likes flattery, so she’ll give him that.

And this is coming from someone who voted for Bernie twice in the primaries, and for Biden and Kamala, all to try and stop Trump from becoming president knowing the horrible outcomes that would happen *because* of the experience of Chavez and Maduro did to Venezuela.

Trump has spoken out against the Maduro regime, a regime that has caused my friends and family to flee their home country to all corners of the planet, and others worse, so she’s going to be thankful for that and hoping to find an ally in the US.

Not everything is about American politics.

I love NYC. It’s chaotic, but full of culture
and architectural beauty. My favorite city.

If you go elsewhere, especially outside major northeast cities, know you’re likely to need a car to get anywhere (especially in California).

There was also a PSM mag swimsuit issue I recall in the early aughts that served the same purpose.

Earned though. That low “strike” was BS.
