Clear out toys now!

Clear out toys now!

Love being reminded to do this every year. It's a win/win all round

Said it before but it never ceases to astound me just how hollow all the 'sovereignty, national pride, take back control' rhetoric turned out to be shorn of its partisan dimension

The BBC is in crisis in the same way that GB News would be if you put Owen Jones on the board armed with a veto and plenty of coffee.

I put in a freedom of information request for her register of interests, which would reveal if she owns OpenAI shares. The government refused to share it, claiming it contains β€˜personal information’.

For context, the PM’s previous AI Adviser’s register of interests *was* published.

And yet, the man who orchestrated this is riding high in the polls.

This country is demented.

Great read. You get the feeling a lot of pro-footballers lose the fact that ultimately football is meant to be fun. So glad they’re enjoying it.

As an aside, a mate of mine came up against Lescott and Ireland in one of those previous 7-a-side being games mentioned. Ireland some player apparently.

Undertaking screening programs in an already stretched pre-op assessment service a disaster in my opinion.

As for improving outcomes or benefits outweighing risks, I’m certainly not sure

Having started doing this for OSA I can say it’s a disaster. Not funded or set up to screen for disease like this.

If you believe Trump and the Newspapers in this country, when they tell you the BBC is lying and has an agenda (and they don’t!!) then you need to give your head a wobble and sort your mess of a brain out

This is going to the standard ministerial response to anything that is not working and has not had enough money spent on it. AI can sort out the NHS, social care, prisons, universities, the road network, trains...

Farage has already damaged this country massively and cost it billions.

There is no logic here.

No patriotism either, actually. Just a cloak that most populist grifters wear.

This is very good - it also makes an obvious point, but one that does need stating clearly and repeatedly - the notion that Trump cares about journalistic accuracy or integrity is obviously, laughably absurd. The media and it’s reporting is something he seeks to manipulate, nothing else

UK newspaper editor calls Bill de Blasio fake interview blunder β€˜humiliating’ A Times associate editor reportedly addressed situation in an email to staff, saying: β€˜We should have been on our guard’

The BBC will fuck things up from time to time. Lots of major news organisations do; just look at The Times having to memoryhole several fake news stories in a matter of weeks.

No one is calling for the abolition of The Times, however.

How the government captured the BBC A right-wing cabal, largely unaccountable, is waging war on the principles that made our public broadcaster great. It must not succeed

An important article to read today www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/ideas/media/...

Sadly, the BBC’s quality standards have been in free-fall for years.

The BBC's senior leadership resigning en masse over one dodgy edit in one programme, simply because the right wing press demands it, tells you everything you need to know about where the power really lies in that relationship
