I know it’s different when you’re on vacation, but I have a very hard time understanding the renters near me who have had bonfires the past two nights when it’s 70+ degrees and the sky has been a hazy white due to wildfires for the past week.

Re fall release calendar: it’s the same(-ish) with book publishing, except everything is crammed into Sept and Oct meaning nothing gets covered except the same handful of hyped titles. I honestly don’t understand it, and it’s getting worse. Maybe the theory is attention is high so flood the zone?

Sorry, don’t understand what sins are hidden by crediting translators. I don’t mean that disrespectfully or flippantly. I’m nobody and you, as a translator, surely know more, I’ve just never heard this stance. I’d be curious to read about whatever you’re referring to if you have an article about it.

Charco and Tilted Axis name the translator on the cover. Fitzcarraldo, despite being recognized as a leading publisher of translated literature, gives zero recognition to the person or persons responsible for writing the translation. #namethetranslator
