It turns out the U.S. did a “double tap” attack just as emergency responders were arriving at the girls’ elementary school. This is what the Russians do routinely in Ukraine.
That’s a war crime under international humanitarian law.

Even with Russia helping Iran target Americans, the Trump administration approach to Ukraine is Russia deserves to get something for its aggression, and the goal of U.S. pressure is to get Ukraine to bow down to Putin.

A good reminder of what pathetic cowards we have been when it comes to Ukraine.
Europe didn’t place large orders of SAMP/T batteries and Aster interceptors, so it should at least have ordered many PAC interceptors for Ukraine.
Traitors
Let's just come out and say it -- this is worst U.S. war crime since the Vietnam War.

Yet another example why helping Ukraine to defend itself against Russian aggression is critical to US national security.
Ukraine could have, and wanted to, destroy Russia's Shahed drone factory but Trump refused to allow them. Now Putin is shipping those drones to Iran.

Interesting!
Let us see what i can do on my xps - 64GB mem, nvidia 4050. Eventually it will run on A100s probably.
Maybe @michelnivard.bsky.social can share some more details? :) Running through ollama server?

We wanted to save Iranians from the bad guys.
So we killed the bad guys.
This turned out to be unfortunate, because our plan was, after saving the Iranians from the bad guys, to pick one of the bad guys to be *our* bad guy and to leave him in charge.
Only with colleagues. People are experimenting with generating mock data, and moving code in/out, but it is a hassle. As you say, they would be good to have anyway for teaching etc.

Matt gave the same talk here two days before :)
Yes, open-weight LLMs we can have, and in combination with an agent (maybe openclaw-type) it will work reasonably well. We will experiment now, here at UiO.
AI agents will increase the number of academic papers, also high-quality papers. But, before the agents are _inside_ the secure servers, closed data sources like register data, will become even more attractive.

I am prone to *configuratis*, a disease where you spend the majority of your working time improving workflow and configuration files instead of doing the actual work.
Agents make this even worse. Now I can configure the agent to more efficiently configure pandoc/LaTeX/Beamer/Makefile etc.
There is more evidence that Roger Boyes won’t be round by spring not least the amount he must be drinking to assume things are going well for the army that is currently tricking Africans to join because they’re running low on cannon fodder

They've monetized and incentivized committing crimes against humanity.
It's a scandal on par with Pete Rose betting on baseball, if Pete Rose were undersecretary of defense, and baseball was murdering civilians with bombs.
Using agents to do research is making me feel like I do not have to do research in order to do research, but I guess I eventually have to do research anyway.

Hey - there's a preprint about the bioRxiv preprint server published as a preprint on the bioRxiv preprint server:
bioRxiv: the preprint server for biology www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
Maybe try to set something up with OpenClaw and some dedicated GPUs on the inside...?
